...i cant wait to share everything with you guys. ive never been the one to run around talking about things before they come to fruition... not much of a "boaster"... that is, until i get on the mic. LOL. but that's what we emcees do. we think of different ways to tell you how absolutely, ridiculously and incredibly SICK we are. :-)
...what i WILL say is that the project is coming along nicely, im excited. i know its taking a lil while. but, anything worth having is worth waiting for.. or so they say...

Benefit Concert for Haiti - Saturday January 23rd. We need you!
as you all know, Haiti is in the middle of a terrible crisis right now and the need for help is immeasurable. this Saturday I, along with many amazing artists from the Bay area, will be performing with hopes to bring in monetary donations, food and clothing for the people of Haiti.
you know those shirts that you havent worn in months...let 'em go. the five bucks sitting on your night stand that will vanish without a trace by Sunday (and not into the offering plate)... give it up.
we would love to see you there. please do what you can to support. people are counting on us.

...dj premier, son?!
its been a crazy few weeks. between the holidays, promoting the jan 2nd show, recording and getting a new puppy, i have found it challenging to get back over here. :-)
we're a little more than a week into the new year and its off to a good start. we've got a few shows lined up, the site is up and running and the mixtape is almost done.
i mentioned before that 09 was..well..bananas.:-)
one of the biggest highlights for me was hearing my song on DJ Premier's show*. to have a hip hop legend play your joint and run it back is a blessing in itself...but to have him play it for weeks is something that can't be topped... unless of course, he puts it on his mixtape ...and takes it worldwide with him. Premier has def introduced me to many DJs and listeners around the world. one would think that i cut a check or something...but the bank account says otherwise.
a cosign like that is sheer motivation...the responses from hip hop lovers around the world reminds me why i do this. sometimes we just need a little push...
so, Premo...thank you sir for the love. 'preciate ya!

ok peeps,
this was one of my MAJOR highlights this year. something i will NEVER forget... getting to share the stage with hip hop royalty isnt something that many local artists can say theyve experienced.. and being singled out and brought on stage to share the mic ... amazing!
i remember being so nervous about meeting KRS because you know, he can be a lil... intense. :-) but he was awesome and very encouraging... even watched my set. when i finished, he ran up on the stage and gave me a big hug and grabbed the mic... BANANAS!(you'll soon learn that bananas is one of my fav words.)
(flashback moment: i remember takin' the mic and tappin' my mouth with it accidentally...i, being the germophobe that i am, almost passed out when i realized that it was WET! but hey...its KRS! so i let it go... quickly. LOL)
...forever grateful for that moment in time... it has motivated me to keep pushin' and giving this 100%.
